Saleya Gallery
Saleya Gallery is a contemporary art gallery on Cours Saleya in Nice, at the heart of the city’s artistic and cultural life. You find contemporary works and a space shaped around exchange. Henri Matisse lived in this building, connecting present-day exhibitions with his years in Nice.
Emerging and established international artists appear together, including Patrick Rubinstein, Andrea Roggi, Nadia Cascini, and David Gerstein. Other represented artists include Nimrod Messeg, Joel Amit, Tom Seerden, Sabrina Pirlot, and Véronique Ziminski. Their practices span perspectives and styles, while selected works address the concerns and aspirations of the present.
The space encourages dialogue between artists and visitors, with room for reflection and a sense of escape. Its wider network links art spaces in France and Belgium, supporting contemporary creation and intercultural encounters. In Nice, Matisse made interiors, still lifes, nudes, and odalisques, often using theatrical settings and objects from his collection.
