Musée National du Sport
The Musée National du Sport stands inside Nice’s Grand Stadium, also known as the Allianz Riviera. Its galleries occupy 2,000 square metres within the stadium complex.
More than 100,000 objects trace sporting history from the sixteenth century to the present day. Equipment, paintings, sculptures, posters, drawings, stamps, books and magazines span many disciplines. A substantial collection follows the modern Olympic Games from 1896 onwards. Interactive displays combine objects, stories and digital devices to bring French sporting heritage into view.
The museum began in 1922, moved through several locations, and reached Nice in 2014. Permanent and temporary exhibitions sit alongside family visits, storytelling sessions and workshops for children from ten months to fifteen years. Stadium tours reveal the Allianz Riviera’s architecture and facilities beyond the galleries. Early cycling equipment and athletes’ memorabilia offer a particularly vivid glimpse of sport’s changing material world.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Nice. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
