Église Saint-Joseph

Église Saint-Joseph stands in Nice, France, as an early twentieth-century church shaped by several architectural campaigns. Its ochre and cream façades, rebuilt tiled roof, and bell tower create a distinctive street presence.

Rabagliati and Lusso designed the building, which was consecrated on 19 March 1911. Between 1963 and 1964, architects Buzzi and Rottier replaced the original roof with a simple terrace. A major renovation began in 2010 under Bernard Camous, renewing the interior and restoring the tiled roof. The bell tower received a new cross, supported by a light oak structure.

In 2023, local artist Hugo Bogo began transforming the choir with murals about Saint Joseph’s life. Scenes show his betrothal, the announcement to Joseph, the flight into Egypt, Nazareth, and his death. The Sainte Famille parish uses the church for catechism, children’s after-school activities, sacraments, and community gatherings.
