Wasserwerk
Wasserwerk stands in Munich’s Pasing district as a protected monument shaped by the city’s water infrastructure. Josef Lang designed the building, completed between 1919 and 1921, with a two-storey central section and two single-storey wings.
Its three-wing layout creates a balanced frontage beneath hipped roofs, while stucco decorations add detail to the functional architecture. The facility supplied Munich with water until operations ended in 1996 or 1997, then became a water operations base for Stadtwerke München. The concrete contrast stays with you: civic utility behind an early twentieth-century façade.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Munich. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
