Palais Porcia
Palais Porcia stands in Munich as a Baroque mansion, with Italian influence shaped by architect Enrico Zuccalli. Built in 1693, it originally served Count Fugger.
Count Törring acquired the palace in 1710, before Elector Charles Albert took ownership in 1731. François de Cuvilliés remodelled the building in Rococo style in 1736 for Countess Topor-Morawitzka. A cultural association called “Museum” added a concert hall in 1819, giving the interiors a musical role. World War Two caused significant damage, and restoration followed between 1950 and 1952.
The restored façade received Munich’s Fassadenpreis der Landeshauptstadt München in 2008. Baroque structure and Rococo refinement therefore meet in one surviving city palace.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Munich. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
