Literaturhaus
Literaturhaus München stands at Salvatorplatz in central Munich, housed in a historic building that began as a school in the late eighteenth century. Inside, a library and event spaces support readings, discussions, seminars, exhibitions, and literary education.
Munich’s city council chose the building for a new literary role in the early 1990s, and renovations began in 1995. The restored house opened in June 1997, while preserving its historic character for the Bavarian Academy of Writing, university workshops, and media organisations.
A fictional office from the German television series Um Himmels Willen adds an unexpected detail, while Brasserie OskarMaria honours Oskar Maria Graf with works by American artist Jenny Holzer.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Munich. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
