Kriegerdenkmal 1870-71
Kriegerdenkmal 1870-71 stands in the small cemetery beside Winthirkirche, in Munich’s Neuhausen district. The stone memorial commemorates local soldiers who died during the Franco-Prussian War.
Erected on 6 August 1871, it records the fallen soldiers’ names and military ranks. Its inscription honours their sacrifice for the freedom of their fatherland and wishes them peaceful rest far from home.
The quiet cemetery setting places Neuhausen’s wartime memory among the churchyard graves.
