Sky Mirror
Sky Mirror stands in front of the Casino de Monte-Carlo on Monaco’s Place du Casino. Anish Kapoor’s public sculpture takes the form of a polished, concave stainless-steel disc, set among gardens, fountains and historic architecture.
Created in 1999, the surface reflects the casino, fountain and sky with a clear, inverted image. Changing light, weather and movement continually alter the view, while your own reflection joins the surrounding square.
The Sky Mirror series began with a work commissioned by Nottingham Playhouse and includes versions in cities such as New York, Porto and Singapore. Here, the memorable detail is simple: the sky seems to lie at your feet while the casino turns upside down.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Monaco. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
