Kurpark am Burgberg
Kurpark am Burgberg lies at Mittenwald’s southwestern edge, where paths meet the slopes of Burgberg and open towards the Karwendel mountains. Established in 1923, the park covers about 66,000 square metres and offers walking routes, shaded spaces, flowerbeds, and benches for quiet pauses.
A Kneipp water-treading facility adds a traditional German wellness experience, while a small fish pond brings water and movement to the grounds. You can also find outdoor chess and a life-sized Mensch ärgere dich nicht board, bringing familiar games into the open air. The former private garden became a public space and now connects relaxation with walks towards Lautersee and Ferchensee.
A restaurant beside the entrance has a sun terrace, regional dishes, and options for children. From a bench, you can watch the mountains, breathe the fresh air, and see the park’s flowers change with the seasons.
