PalaSharp
PalaSharp stands in Milan’s Lampugnano district, where a former arena once joined music, basketball, and public life. Opened in 1986 as PalaTrussardi, the venue held slightly more than 10,000 people. Designer Nicola Trussardi supported the opening, connecting the arena with Milan’s fashion world. Frank Sinatra inaugurated the venue, followed by performances from Nirvana, the Ramones, and other international artists.
Olimpia Milano used the court as its home for nearly a decade before moving to Mediolanum Forum. Music and sport shared the calendar beneath the same roof. Sponsorships later brought the names PalaVobis and PalaTucker before PalaSharp became established. A free Neil Young concert on 5 May 1987 drew a crowd beyond the arena’s capacity. Police clashes unfolded outside while the concert continued inside, bringing criticism and political consequences.
Noise complaints from a nearby convent accompanied legal disputes over construction. The arena closed in 2011 and later stood abandoned after redevelopment plans failed to materialize.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Milan. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
