Casa Buzzoni

Casa Buzzoni stands at Via Bocchetto 13 in Milan, presenting an eighteenth-century example of Barocchetto Teresiano architecture. Its Lombard Baroque and Rococo influences create a decorated façade with classical balance. The stone portal draws attention first, with a multi-curved arch ending in a shell-shaped keystone motif. Above it, a wrought-iron balcony projects from the façade and reveals careful eighteenth-century craftsmanship.

Smaller balconies on the second floor repeat the main balcony’s pattern, linking the elevations through symmetry. Stucco brackets support them and echo the shell ornament above the entrance. This decorative language connects the building with Milan’s movement from seventeenth-century classicism towards Rococo. Look closely at the portal’s conchiglione, whose curved form gathers the façade’s architectural details into one memorable focus.
