Sankta Maria i Rosengård
Sankta Maria i Rosengård is a compact brick church in Rosengård, Sweden, with red-brown walls and a low roof. Its approachable scale places entrances, practical rooms and a close nave within everyday neighbourhood life.
The parish began in 1986, and the present church was inaugurated in 1990 through conversations, fundraising and community work. Father Rudolf Basista shaped its musical and cultural life, including the Polish youth group Kwiaty Polskie. Polish, Croatian and Spanish voices join worship, choir performances, language lessons, concerts and shared meals.
Baptisms, vigils and community gatherings bring ritual and ordinary life together beneath the same roof. Sunlight moving across the brick leaves the clearest detail: a church built for people to meet, pray and keep their customs alive.
