Drottningtorget

Drottningtorget is a compact square in Sweden, where an old riding hall anchors a lively social setting. Its nineteenth-century brick walls, generous windows and high roof recall an arena built for horses and riders.

Today, the hall contains a boule bar with indoor lanes and a French-inspired atmosphere. Restaurants and pizzerias surround it, serving wood-fired pizza beneath tables filled with conversation. On market mornings, crates display root vegetables, preserves and herbs still marked by the soil. Local vendors turn the paving into a small seasonal pantry, while bicycles replace the hooves that once crossed it.

Evenings bring fairy lights, long tables and the quiet click of boule balls against gravel. Old paving stones connect those present gatherings with the riding hall’s working past.
