Beijers park in Sweden opens as a leafy urban meadow, with open lawn, scattered trees and paths for slowing down. Benches, picnic spots and dog walks shape its quieter everyday rhythm.
Once a year, Hoppapalooza fills the grass with tents, taps and live music, turning the park into a celebration of nearby brewing. The festival began as a small anniversary party in 2013 and grew to feature 25 local craft brewers, around 150 beers and roughly 30,000 servings at one edition. Rock, Motown, blues, trance and jazz carry the day, while red lagers, local IPAs and sour beers keep the focus on regional flavours and shorter journeys.
Look closely across the lawn for an old tent peg still sunk into the grass. It leaves a small trace of the crowds and glasses that once filled this quiet green space.
