Villa Onieva

Villa Onieva stands on Avenida Pintor Joaquín Sorolla in Málaga’s Miramar and Limonar neighbourhoods. This late nineteenth-century residence presents Gothic Plateresque architecture, with an octagonal tower on its main façade and a square turret. Three floors, 870 square metres and a spacious garden shape the property.

Fernando Guerrero Strachan designed the building, which originally carried the name of its first owner, Diego Salcedo Durán. Diego Salcedo commissioned a significant remodelling in 1928, while much of the original façade survived the changes. The property now houses Gaona Palacios y Rozados Abogados, with modern workspaces set inside its historic structure.

Guided tours reveal the architecture, while cultural and educational events bring activity to the building. Urban planning protection and inclusion in the Andalusian Historical Heritage catalogue support its preservation. The octagonal tower remains the clearest detail to notice from the principal façade.
