WestImmo
WestImmo stands in Mainz as a financial company focused on servicing property loans within the Aareal Bank Group. You encounter a part of the city’s modern business landscape, centred on real estate finance rather than a visitor attraction.
Founded in 1995 as Westdeutsche ImmobilienBank AG, it began as a public-law institution created through cooperation between three regional banks. WestLB made it a wholly owned subsidiary in 2005, and the organisation became a stock corporation by 2007. Its banking business later moved to Aareal Bank, while the Mainz operation became a loan-servicing entity by 2017.
One figure captures its earlier scale: the bank recorded a pre-tax profit of €121.2 million in 2008.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Mainz. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
