Pauluskirche
Die Pauluskirche steht im hannoverschen Stadtteil Südstadt und dient der evangelisch-lutherischen Gemeinde. Das geschützte Bauwerk zeigt neugotische Formen mit erhaltenen Säulen und Wänden.
Rudolph Eberhard Hillebrand entwarf die Kirche, deren Grundstein am 10. November 1883 gelegt wurde. Nach ihrer Fertigstellung 1886 schmückten Alexander Linnemanns Fenster und Innenmalereien den Raum. Ein Luftangriff zerstörte sie 1943 weitgehend. Der Wiederaufbau 1957 und 1958 bewahrte die ursprüngliche Struktur, veränderte jedoch den Abschluss des Turms. Besonders hörenswert ist die Orgel von Marcussen & Søn aus dem Jahr 1965, deren Gestaltung barocken Vorbildern folgt.
