Kirche des Stephansstifts
Kirche des Stephansstifts is a church building in Hanover, Germany, within the Stephansstift institution. The site joins religious life with education and community support. Founded in 1869, the foundation began as a brotherhood training men for Christian service and charitable work. Over time, it became an educational and community service centre.
Deacon training formed part of its work until 1974, when that role moved to Hochschule Hannover. Its programmes combine professional and religious education. They cover social work, religious education and diaconia, while supporting youth services and community work. It belongs to the Stadtkirchenverband Hannover. That association places it under the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover.
The church hosts ordinations and examinations for Diakonie Kolleg Hannover students. These ceremonies connect the building with religious training in Hanover.
