La Gomera
La Gomera is a ceramic tilework in Spain, made by Ceramica Artistica Barcarrota S.L. Ceramic tiles join edge to edge across one continuous surface. Up close, the seams and edges reveal slight relief and the precise placement of each durable piece. From farther back, repeated tiles resolve into a single worked plane.
The surface brings workshop manufacture into public art through many small ceramic elements forming an image and place. The material carries the composition. Where ceramic meets ceramic, the joints trace the rhythm of the maker’s hand across the work. A slight relief at one joint gives the repeating surface its most tactile detail.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Firgas. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
