Oeffinger Scillawald
Oeffinger Scillawald is a nature reserve and protected forest on the Neckar’s right bank, west of Fellbach’s Oeffingen district. It occupies the Brühl area within the Neckar Basin. A Klebwald forms the steep wooded slope, with maples and ashes rising above paths and river views. Several hiking trails cross this protected landscape beside the river.
Nature reserve protection began in 1972, followed by protected-forest status in 1981 and renewed recognition in 2004. The woodland belongs to the FFH area Unteres Remstal und Backnanger Bucht. On its shaded floor, hollow larkspur and blue star flowers appear shortly after snowdrops, while the days remain short. That early blue flowering gives the slope its striking spring spectacle.
