Bootshaus
Bootshaus is a restaurant on the western shore of Volksgarten lake in Düsseldorf, with a wooden terrace above the water. Bushes and shrubs conceal the terrace, creating a secluded view across the lake.
Volksgarten surrounds the restaurant with lawns and pathways, forming a green park completed in 1896 during Düsseldorf’s industrial expansion. That setting joins city life with water, trees, and open grass. The kitchen brings together Rhenish and Mediterranean dishes, including pasta, salads, fish, meat, regional specialities, and vegetarian choices. Drinks include the local favourite called leckere Dröppke.
From the wooden terrace, you can settle above the lake while bushes screen the city around you.
