Rose Garden
Zakir Hussain Rose Garden spreads across thirty acres in Chandigarh, India, with pathways leading through carefully arranged rose sections. Established in 1967, it holds more than 50,000 rose bushes and over 1,500 varieties. Miniature, hybrid tea, floribunda, and climbing roses fill the garden with different colours and scents.
Trees and medicinal shrubs add greenery beyond the rose beds, creating space for walks, picnics, and quiet pauses. An amphitheatre at the centre hosts cultural performances, while a small lake-like feature contains a colourful fountain. The garden also connects with Sector Seventeen Plaza through a subway, bringing another part of Chandigarh close by.
The Rose Festival in February combines exhibitions, competitions, performances, children’s workshops, and play areas. In the evening, extensive lighting and decorated plants give the pathways a different character.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Chandigarh. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
