Chiesa di Santo Stefano
Chiesa di Santo Stefano stands beside Piazza Umberto I, the central square known as the Piazzetta, in Capri, Italy. You see a Catholic church that serves as the town’s principal place of worship.
Built in the seventeenth century, it once served as Capri’s cathedral and the seat of its bishop. The church formed part of a larger religious complex, while the adjoining archbishop’s palace now houses the town hall. Alongside Chiesa di San Costanzo, it ranks among the island’s two oldest churches.
Saint Stephen, regarded as the first Christian martyr, gives the church its dedication. Around it, the Piazzetta remains a meeting place where religious history and civic life share the same setting.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Capri. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
