Villa la Brise
Villa la Brise is a stone residential building in Cannes, within France’s Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region. Completed in 1912, it presents early twentieth-century architecture. Stone was the principal material used in its construction.
Henri Rastrelly and G. Morrier designed it as a maison à loyer, or rental house. Ernest Pellegrini is also associated with the villa. Its plans cover the basement, ground floor, and upper floors, and date from around 1913. The communal archives of Cannes preserve these floor plans. Regional cultural heritage inventories also include this property.
Villa la Brise has remained in residential use since completion, preserving the purpose intended for a maison à loyer. French usage sometimes calls it an immeuble. The preserved plans retain the layout of the basement, ground floor, and upper floors.
