Oratori de Sant Blai
Oratori de Sant Blai stands in Campos, Mallorca, as a former parish church with roots reaching back to 1248. Its rectangular layout holds one nave, a ribbed vault, and eight side chapels along the walls. A courtyard frames the entrance, while a former cemetery now opens as a Mediterranean garden.
The church first served the wider area under Saint Julian before receiving its dedication to Saint Blaise in 1405. Sixteenth-century renovations removed many Gothic details, but the nave and vault still preserve the building’s earlier structure. Concerts, exhibitions, children’s workshops, and local gatherings continue to connect the site with community life.
The annual Saint Blaise celebration brings people from Campos on foot, by bicycle, or by scooter. Visitors attend Mass, receive oil for the throat, and find small panellets among the traditional offerings.
