Villa Otto
Villa Otto stands in Bremen’s Schwachhausen district as a two-storey residence from the early twentieth century. Its façade combines two central gables, loggias and bay windows in the Swiss chalet style.
Friedrich Wellermann and Paul Frölich designed the building for the artist Wilhelm Otto and M. Sosat. Richard Riemerschmid, Bruno Paul and Bernhard Pankok shaped the interiors with the Vereinigte Werkstätten in Munich, creating an important example of early twentieth-century interior design.
Bremen’s heritage laws have protected the villa since 1981. Today, offices and other services use the building, while its paired gables remain the clearest detail of its chalet-inspired character.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Bremen. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
