Landhaus Böving
Landhaus Böving stands in Bremen’s Oberneuland district, surrounded by Muhles Park, a historic landscape garden. The villa has one or two storeys. Its classical design combines a hipped roof with a gabled entrance and portico. Public access to the park reveals a landscape first laid out between 1815 and 1825.
Built around 1815, the residence began as a manor for Johann Wilhelm Böving, a money changer and insurance broker. The Böving family retained the estate until 1922. That year, architect Walter Görig led a major interior renovation, before the Muhle family acquired the property. Muhles Park expanded and changed over the years. Since 1984, heritage protection has covered both the villa and its surrounding park. The villa remains a residence, while the garden preserves views of early nineteenth-century landscape design.
