Hofmeierhaus
Hofmeierhaus stands in Bremen as part of the Landgut Lamotte estate, alongside grounds covering seventeen hectares. The building originally housed the estate manager. Henry Lamotte, a petroleum merchant, commissioned the estate with its villa and working residence. Architects Wellermann and Frölich designed the Hofmeierhaus between 1911 and 1913, giving the site its early twentieth-century character.
Since 2004, monument protection has covered the Hofmeierhaus and the former villa. The building now belongs to the Ökologiestation, an environmental education centre for children, teenagers and adults. Founded in 1979, the centre uses the house and surrounding grounds to explore sustainability. The villa left the estate in 2008, while the Hofmeierhaus remains part of the centre’s activities. History and environmental learning meet here within one Bremen estate.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Bremen. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
