Haus Tillery
Haus Tillery stands in Bremen’s Burglesum district, in the St. Magnus area near Knoops Park. The one- to two-storey brick building has an L-shaped plan and a hipped roof. Built around 1870 during the Historicism period, it served as a residence and gardener’s house for head gardener Tillery. Diamond-shaped divisions set its doors and windows apart from the surrounding brickwork.
The building belongs to the oldest structures of Knoops Landgut Mühlenthal, alongside gatehouses at Auf dem Hohen Ufer 10 and 32. Haus Kränholm stands nearby, while a sculpture garden and event barn extend the cultural setting around it. During its conversion into an art café in 2011, unstable sections required reconstruction behind the retained outer walls. The completed ensemble now brings together the art café, Kränholm restaurant, event space and garden, under Bremen monument protection as part of the Knoops Park group.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Bremen. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
