Haus Lichtenegg
Haus Lichtenegg, also known as Alt-Reebeck, is a two-storey villa in Bremen’s Burglesum district.
Its rectangular form rises beside the steep Geestkante slope.
Built in 1844 for cigar manufacturer August Ferdinand Dreier, the house combines a rendered façade with a gabled roof.
Decorative half-timbering marks the gable above the façade.
A Jugendstil door, loggia, and garden-side veranda add distinct details to the building’s exterior.
Renovations took place during the 1890s.
From Admiral-Brommy-Weg, the villa occupies a distinctive setting where the ground drops about fifteen metres across a short distance.
Stylised palm fronds decorate Haus Lichtenegg’s entrance gate.
Artist Erich Klahn lived here around 1960, and the property serves residential and office purposes.
Bremen placed the villa under monument protection in 1981.
Nearby, Villa Trost and Haus Mindeströmmen are protected houses on Lesmonastraße.
These three names mark Burglesum’s recorded architectural character.
