Naturzentrum Braderup

Naturzentrum Braderup stands on Sylt beside the Braderuper Heide nature reserve and its white cliffs. Heathland surrounds the site, while Morsum Cliff lies nearby as another protected landscape. Together, these areas place local wildlife and conservation at the centre of your visit.

Inside, exhibitions explain the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park and its distinctive natural features. The park provides resting grounds for migratory birds and protects porpoises as Europe’s only protected area for them. Displays also address local environmental issues and the work needed to preserve these habitats. Geological tours, bicycle excursions through nature reserves, and family mudflat walks connect the exhibitions with Sylt’s landscape.

A herb garden adds a quieter experience beside the larger protected areas. A guided garden tour ends with a tea tasting centred on its plants.
