Designpanoptikum
Designpanoptikum is a surrealist museum of industrial objects in Berlin’s historic Nikolaiviertel, near the Nikolaikirche. Its walk-through chambers combine technology, medicine, film, sport, aviation, construction and industry. Unlabelled objects invite you to study their forms and imagine their original uses.
Vlad Korneev built the collection from rare utility objects gathered while assisting Werner Bokelberg in Hamburg. It began in Schwerin. The museum moved to Berlin in 2010, then reached its present Nikolaiviertel location in 2017. Zeiss Ikon film projectors, a Fold & Werner reproduction camera, an iron lung and a Martin-Baker ejection seat punctuate the surreal arrangement.
The Lichtbildpanoptikum adds a photo gallery devoted to Korneev’s work. Together, the displays resemble a film set where function, machinery and strange combinations take centre stage.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Berlin. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
