DeJa Vu Museum
DeJa Vu Museum is an interactive museum near Alexanderplatz in central Berlin, combining optical illusions with modern art. It occupies about 1,000 square metres across two floors. Its themed rooms use visual effects that invite you to interact, observe, and question perception. The interactive displays welcome visitors across every age group. The museum stands among Europe’s largest venues of its kind.
Optical illusions have fascinated people for centuries, making the brain perceive objects that are absent or different from reality. One thunderstorm room uses simulated lightning and thunder. A star room places you among galaxies, while a kaleidoscope room shows patterns produced by polarised light. The exhibits explain the science behind those effects. Digital art and workshops add making and participation to the experience. You can also create distinctive photographs as art, science, and hands-on exploration meet across the themed spaces.
