David Hasselhoff Museum
The David Hasselhoff Museum occupies the basement of Circus Hostel in Berlin’s Mitte district, linking pop culture with a historic city. The spot honours American actor and singer David Hasselhoff.
Its displays connect his roles in Knight Rider and Baywatch with his 1989 performance at the Berlin Wall. A mural presents Hasselhoff.
The collection includes a toy KITT model, Baywatch items, and a replica of his piano-key scarf. A fragment of the Berlin Wall adds a physical link to that performance.
The museum began as a small project in 2008 and developed into a more elaborate presentation by 2015. A parody book asks whether David Hasselhoff ended the Cold War.
Together, these objects show how entertainment, Berlin history, and a singer’s public image meet inside one unusual basement museum.
