L. W. J. K. Thomson

L. W. J. K. Thomson is a public artwork in Durrës, Albania, dedicated to Dutch Colonel Lodewijk Willem Johan Karel Thomson. Colonel Thomson helped organise Albania’s newly established gendarmerie. He later died in combat while defending the country, and the bust also commemorates others who gave their lives for Albanian freedom. The sculpture has moved through several locations in Durrës.
