พระบรมรูปสองรัชกาล

The Statue of the Two Kings stands in Bangkok, before Chulalongkorn University’s main auditorium. Two statues share a high platform, presenting King Chulalongkorn and King Vajiravudh together. King Chulalongkorn, also called Rama V, is associated with Thailand’s modernisation. King Vajiravudh, also called Rama VI, is remembered for contributions to education and culture.

Chulalongkorn University established the monument for an anniversary after seeking permission from the king. Its position before the auditorium places both monarchs within the university’s daily surroundings. The elevated arrangement gives the figures a visible presence beside an important academic building. Freshmen pay respect and swear an oath before the statues during an initiation rite. Graduates offer homage there as a farewell gesture at the end of university life. These ceremonies connect the high platform with two defining moments in a student’s university journey.
