พระบรมราชานุสาวรีย์พระบาทสมเด็จพระมงกุฎเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว
The King Rama VI Monument stands at the entrance to Lumpini Park in Bangkok, where a bronze king in ceremonial uniform holds a sword above a high pedestal. Fountains flank the statue. An open tiled area surrounds the monument and hosts public ceremonies.
Italian sculptor Corrado Feroci created the monument with four Thai artists, completing the work in 1941 before its inauguration in 1942. King Vajiravudh, who reigned from 1910 to 1925, shaped Thai public life through the country’s Boy Scouts and its current flag design. Lumpini Park extends behind the monument as a green space donated to Bangkok by the king. Plants from across Thailand fill the park, whose name recalls Lumbini, the Buddha’s birthplace. Together, the statue, fountains, tiles, and gardens place royal history beside one of the city’s open urban landscapes.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Bangkok. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
