ศาลพระลักษมี

Lakshmi Shrine rises on the fourth floor of Gaysorn Plaza in Bangkok, beside the busy Ratchaprasong junction. Luxury shops surround this Hindu sanctuary in central Bangkok. From the nearby skywalk between Siam Square and Chidlom Station, you can glimpse it above the city’s traffic.

The shrine honours Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess associated with wealth, prosperity, and good fortune. Nearby shrines honour Hindu gods, while this one is dedicated to a goddess. Hindu tradition connects Lakshmi with Vishnu and the churning of the ocean of milk.

A golden statue stands on a fully opened golden lotus, with a matching halo behind her head. Four arms hold lotus buds, whose symbolism includes beauty and purity, while the shrine’s height gives the figure a watchful presence above Ratchaprasong.
