พระบรมรูปทรงม้า
The Equestrian Statue of King Chulalongkorn stands at the centre of Bangkok’s Royal Plaza, south of Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall. Its bronze rider faces southwest towards Ratchadamnoen Avenue.
A five-metre figure in Field Marshal uniform holds the reins in his left hand and a baton in his right. A marble pedestal supports the six-tonne bronze sculpture.
Public donations commissioned the work after the king’s 1907 European tour inspired its design, and surplus funds established Chulalongkorn University. Worshippers leave candles, incense, flowers, and brandy at the base, seeking the former king’s good fortune in business.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Bangkok. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
What is myTuur?
myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
