Oorlogsmuseum

Oorlogsmuseum stands in Park den Brandt, Antwerp, inside bunkers built for the Atlantic Wall during the Second World War. The bunker village contains eight structures, with three open to visitors and two housing the museum.

Displays connect the Atlantic Wall with aerial warfare and Antwerp’s wartime role through archaeological finds and fortification artefacts. A restored engine room still functions, while preserved German V1 flying bomb and V2 ballistic missile examples show the technology used during the war’s later stages.

The accessible bunkers include an SK1 structure and the village’s main command bunker, built in 1943. On 11 June 2004, the bunker village received monument recognition, preserving a former military complex within the park.
