MoMu

MoMu stands in Antwerp, Belgium, as a fashion museum devoted to Belgian clothing and textiles. It collects, preserves, studies, and exhibits fashion from the past and present. Wheelchair access makes the galleries available to visitors with reduced mobility.

Immersive exhibitions place garments beside their inspirations, artistic connections, and creative processes. Changing displays explore designers, materials, social themes, and links between fashion, art, and interiors. Antwerp’s fashion history takes centre stage through designers including Martin Margiela, Dries Van Noten, and Ann Demeulemeester. The museum also presents part of its permanent collection and develops workshops, collaborations, and fashion walks.

The collection includes clothing, accessories, textiles, and objects connected with Belgian fashion. Eighteenth-century lace, religious-garment fragments, costume borders, and fine regional linen threads reveal Antwerp’s textile heritage. One especially vivid object is a lace coverlet dating from around 1750, made for special occasions.
