De-Koepel moskee
De-Koepel moskee stands in Antwerp, Belgium, as a place of worship and community activity. Its prayer space accommodates about 210 worshippers, while sermons are delivered entirely in Dutch. The building opened in 2008 as Belgium’s first mosque founded and managed by converts to Islam.
Turkish Diyanet funding enabled its purchase, and local Turkish and Moroccan communities carried out the renovation. The mosque supports new Muslims with guidance, religious learning and connections within the community. Its activities include iftar meals, environmental projects, cooking workshops and support for Islamic foster families. Different backgrounds meet here through prayer, charity, cultural events and neighbourhood initiatives.
During winter, the mosque distributes soup with Chams and the Borgerhout district. Every Friday, a nearby aid organisation receives hot soup from the same kitchen.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Antwerp. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
