Bosuilstadion
Bosuilstadion stands in Antwerp’s Deurne district as the home ground of Royal Antwerp Football Club. Opened in 1923, the football stadium holds more than 16,000 spectators, including around 800 indoor VIP seats.
Major reconstruction began in 2017, with the west and south stands rebuilt as part of a wider plan to modernise and enclose the ground. The east stand, unused since 2020, has been demolished for a temporary replacement, while a future north-stand rebuild could raise capacity to about 21,000. European football has also shaped this place: Sporting Clube de Portugal defeated MTK Budapest FC in the 1964 European Cup Winners’ Cup Final replay, and West Germany beat Belgium in the 1972 UEFA European Championship semi-final.
Belgian Pro League and Champions League matches continue the stadium’s sporting life, while its stands carry a record of earlier international nights. One detail stays with you: Germany and Brazil played the last international match held here in 1988.

The myTuur app is free, and once you are standing at a spot its story starts by itself.
Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Antwerp. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
