Side Winder

Side Winder stands in Aquasplash, Antibes’ largest water park on France’s Côte d’Azur. The ride sends two people down the park’s highest, steepest slide in a shared float. A ten-metre vertical drop starts the descent, then water and speed carry you into a wall-to-wall swing.

The float climbs the opposite wall after reaching the bottom, creating a rapid back-and-forth motion before stopping. Riders must measure at least 120 centimetres tall, while the combined weight for two people cannot exceed 180 kilograms. Aquasplash surrounds the attraction with more than 2,000 metres of slides across 20,000 square metres, including Draguero, a lazy river and a children’s pool.

The lasting image is the float rising up the far wall after the first plunge.

Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Antibes. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.

What is myTuur?

myTuur is a free city-guide app. Its tours are built from spots, and each spot carries a story that starts when you get there, to read or to listen to as you like.
