A'dam Lookout

A'dam Lookout rises above A'dam Tower in Amsterdam North, giving you a 360-degree view across the city. From the indoor and outdoor deck, you can see the historic centre, canals, port and Dutch polder landscape beyond the rooftops.

The Over the Edge swing carries you 100 metres above the ground, with your feet hanging beyond the tower. A custom rollercoaster cart and VR glasses create the Amsterdam VR Ride, while interactive binoculars reveal details about neighbourhoods and landmarks. A free audio tour adds stories about Amsterdam’s history and culture as you look across the city. The glass-ceilinged lift travels from the first to the twentieth floor in about 20 seconds, accompanied by lights and sound. Upstairs, a skybar and panorama restaurant serve coffee, cocktails and meals, with Moon on the nineteenth floor and Madam on the twentieth.

The clearest detail to remember is the swing’s view: Amsterdam unfolds below you while the tower leaves your feet suspended 100 metres above the ground.

Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Amsterdam. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.

What is myTuur?
