Station 7

Station 7 is an observation platform on the Glasiusweg, set within the Echachklamm near Altusried. From the wooden viewpoint, you look into a forested gorge where a stream runs between rocks and trees. The surrounding Kürnacher Wald provides marked paths for hiking, cycling and mountain biking through the Allgäu landscape.

The Echachklamm’s trails follow the water and connect several viewing stations along the route. Here, the open view shows how flowing water and erosion have shaped the gorge over time. After rain, the stream can reveal its force through faster movement and louder rushing water. Plants and animals inhabit the forest around the path, while the platform keeps attention on the water and landscape.

No additional facilities distract from the setting, so the sound of the stream becomes the clearest detail. Pause beside the gorge and watch the current pass through the rocks below.
