مسجد تربانة
Turbana Mosque stands in Alexandria, Egypt, where lively streets meet the city’s long religious and trading history. Its pale stone façade and slender minaret create a calm outline above the surrounding movement.
Built in the seventeenth century, the mosque belongs to the late Mamluk and early Ottoman period. Arches, carved inscriptions and regularly spaced windows give the modest structure a clear, balanced design. It served as a place of prayer and a neighbourhood centre, where merchants and sailors paused before continuing their journeys.
Light and shadow move across the stone, while the minaret rises like a fine brushstroke against the sky.

Spots like this one are the stops myTuur strings into tours through Alexandria. In the app, each story begins where you stand: walk up to a spot and it starts, read it on screen or listen as you go, then follow the route to the next one.
