Ausstellung am Turmbunker is an exhibition space beside Barmbek train station in Hamburg. Image and text panels, historical objects, and film footage bring local history into view.
One exhibition explores the Barmbek Uprising, shaped by inflation, poverty, and Communist Party activism. Another uses large photographs, eyewitness quotations, and objects to show how wartime bombing affected the working-class district. Displays also trace the conversion of the Heidenreich & Harbeck factory into a theatre campus and the relocation of Hamburg-Nord district offices.
Window exhibitions combine objects with personal memories and stories. The wheelchair-accessible space presents Barmbek as a place where historical events meet changing streets, buildings, and everyday life.
