In Vent
In Vent staat als stalen sculptuur van Robert Schad in de binnenhof van de Sparkasse Hannover, in Hannover, Duitsland. De voormalige Kreissparkasse Hannover gaf opdracht voor dit werk. Zij wilde daarmee de openbare binnenhof van haar hoofdkantoor verrijken. Ondanks de hoeveelheid staal oogt de vorm dynamisch en bijna organisch. Statische elementen maken wind en beweging hier zichtbaar.
Schad verbindt de installatie met dans en choreografie, waardoor de sculptuur een kader voor bewegingen ter plaatse vormt. De binnenhof wordt tegelijk een doorgangsruimte en een rustig centrum binnen het gebouw. De constructie benadrukt de transparantie van de architectuur en vult de plek volledig. Daardoor trekt het middelpunt je blik naar binnen, zonder een volledig overzicht van buitenaf. De sculptuur maakt zo beweging voelbaar binnen een vaste, stalen structuur.
