Colonna di San Teodoro
تقف كولونا دي سان تيودورو في بيزيتا البندقية، بجوار ساحة سان ماركو، ضمن مشهد الواجهة المائية للمدينة. سترى عمودًا حجريًا مرتفعًا تعلوه تمثال ثيودور تيرون، واقفًا برمح وبجانبه تمساح يمثل التنين في قصة القديس. ويستطيع مستخدمو الكراسي المتحركة الوصول إلى الموقع.
يعود العمودان إلى قرون العصور الوسطى، ويرجح أنهما أقيما بين عامي 1172 و1177 في عهد الدوق سباستيانو زياني. وتنسب أعمالهما عادة إلى نيكولو باراتييري، مع احتمال تشييدهما لاحقًا نحو عام 1268، لذلك لا تحسم الروايات تاريخًا واحدًا لبنائهما. كان ثيودور حامي البندقية قبل انتقال هذه المكانة إلى القديس مرقس، فتستحضر التماثيل مرحلة أقدم من الهوية الدينية للمدينة. ويعلو العمود المقابل أسد مجنح يرمز إلى القديس مرقس، بينما ظل المكان مدخلًا احتفاليًا من جهة البحر ومسرحًا للأسواق والاحتفالات والتجمعات العامة. ظهرت الأعمدة في لوحات ورسوم كثيرة للبندقية، ومنها أعمال كاناليتو، وبقيت علامة واضحة على اتصال المدينة بالماء. وفاقت التفاصيل التي تظل عالقة في الذاكرة ارتفاع الحجر نفسه: قد ترى ثيودور يحمل رمحه فوق تمساح عند حافة الساحة، حيث يبدأ منظر البندقية من البحر.
